So here are a BUNCH of pictures for you.
A quick update first. I am now teaching English. I have roughly 68 students, and I work Tuesday-Saturday. Sometimes my weekends are messed up. I have been in Japan a little less than a month now. The food is interesting but I am enjoying myself. There are new things to get used to, like taking out the trash on specific days, and having a bath tub that fills itself for me! It'll sing a song when it's done. How cool! Watching T.V. is interesting too. Sometimes, rarely, they have English T.V. shows and movies.
I had to get a whole new cell phone too, but it's really pretty. Japan likes things to not only be useful but to look nice as well.
So here are some pictures of my apartment (Which is VERY VERY small) and some food, and my street as well. The last picture is off a food called Natto. If you were in my class last year you got to see this food a few times. :-)

I am here in Japan now! I am about 13 hours ahead of America, and most times I'll be a day ahead of you! I am currently in a city called Okayama which is near Osaka. We are doing training right now, and the internet is not very reliable right now. I promise though my next post will be all pictures!!

Packing...Packing...Packing...
All I have been doing this summer is packing! I have to pack enough items, and clothes to survive a year in Japan into two suitcases! That's not a lot of room when you really really think about it, but thank goodness I can always mail things to Japan right?!
I leave on July 6th for the curious. I am very excited to go, but I am also very nervous to leave too. Not very many people speak English in Japan, and of course all there T.V. shows are in Japanese. Some days it will make me feel very homesick. I know that I will have fun though.
I am going to post some pictures of Japan on the blog today, so people can see:

A little off the topic of Japan but...
So, this may not have anything to do with Japan but it is worth mentioning since one of my students asked me to tell them how it was.
I went to Orlando this past weekend and I visited Islands of Adventure, more specifically "The Wizarding World of Harry Potter" and it was such fun. I really enjoyed both the rides. One was a normal roller coaster ride, and this one was fun. It was however really short. :-/
The other ride was inside Hogwarts. It was a ton of fun. A mix of roller coaster and motion ride.
The real selling point of the whole place is how real it looks. The train, the school, Diagon Alley, the wand shop, drinking Pumpkin juice, and watching the Hogwarts "students" roaming the streets. I put some pictures below to give you and idea of just how realistic it looks.

And now on to Japan....
For those of you who are wondering, I leave on July 6. That doesn't give me a A LOT of time to prepare but I am working hard to be ready. There are a lot of decisions to make like: What do I pack? What do I leave behind? Should I bring this electronic? Will I be able to buy this over there? Will it be expensive?
Tons of questions to answer! So much to do!

Mata Ashita Ne!
The phrase "Mata Ashita Ne" means "See you tomorrow, or see you later!" in Japanese. I thought that would be an appropriate title to this first post. Even though I am leaving, I will be back.
As I get ready to embark on my trip to Japan, I think I should explain why I am writing this in the first place. As a way to keep in contact with all the special people back home in America. To my co-workers, friends, former students, family, and loved ones this is a way to keep every one updated with what I am up too.
So, here is my first official post. I will be leaving for Japan on July 6th, 2012 for an entire year. It is a scary and exciting step and I will take memories of all of the wonderful people I've met over my time in Florida.
To my students, good luck and keep being good. Do your best and always remember to be respectful, responsible and ready to learn.
So to start here is the city I will be living in. It is called Saitama. It's about 40 minutes north of Tokyo (So I'll visit all the time :-) ! )
Here is a link to give you some information about Saitama: Saitama, Japan
Here is a photo of the city I will live in:
Saitama is a very pretty city and I am really excited to live there. The only thing I am nervous about is taking the trash out! It's really complicated in Japan. You have to separate all kind of things out, and they get mad if you don't! The categories are very strange to... paper, food stuffs, large items, small items...it's crazy!!!
